REVIVAL Ezekiel 14

A word of encouragement for those who pray for REVIVAL
Ezekiel Chapter 14 : Idolatry in individuals, leaders and the nation
This chapter clearly outlines a prophetic word that best describes the state of our Nation today. We, our leaders and this Nation answer to God for the way that we have drifted so far from His Will. It is NOW that we need revival! We need to look at what we worship and adore that has taken the place of God in our hearts.

To individuals: Verse 4 & 5:

‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Everyone of the house of Israel who sets up his idols in his heart, and puts before him what causes him to stumble into iniquity, and then comes to the prophet, I the LORD will answer him who comes, according to the multitude of his idols, that I may seize the house of Israel by their heart, because they are all estranged from Me by their idols.”’

To the Nation: Verse 12 & 13: The word of the LORD came again to me, saying: 13 “Son of man, when a land sins against Me by persistent unfaithfulness, I will stretch out My hand against it; I will cut off its supply of bread, send famine on it, and cut off man and beast from it.

In the Old Testament the terms of the covenant with God were constantly broken by Israel by acts of idolatry and disobedience. Unfaithfulness is seen as idolatry; as marital unfaithfulness, prostitution, abandoning God, disobedience, trust in money and possessions, doing wrong to others, withholding tithes and offerings, unfaithfulness among the Church and Country’s leadership.

We have a hope: Verse 22 & 23: Yet there will be some survivors—sons and daughters who will be brought out of it. They will come to you, and when you see their conduct and their actions, you will be consoled regarding the disaster I have brought on Jerusalem—every disaster I have brought on it. You will be consoled when you see their conduct and their actions, for you will know that I have done nothing in it without cause, declares the Sovereign LORD.”

Restoration following repentance: The consequence of idolatry in the Old Testament was God’s judgment, which eventually included exile. This nation has made decisions that have caused it to move so far from the purposes of God. However, there is a way back through the precious blood of Jesus.

REVIVAL: Call to Cornwall, Prayer Initiatives, Prayer Rally, Cornwall Community Standards Association, every born again believer in Cornwall have sought the Lord for His Holy Spirit to move upon our land. We have and continue to repent on behalf of our Countrymen and leaders, praying for them regularly. WE MUST NOT STOP UNTIL WE SEE GOD MOVE. Ezekiel 22: 30-31: “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one. So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign LORD.”
